Willow Creek is committed to reaching those who are far from God, unleashing unprecedented levels of compassion into a broken world, and helping each of us become more fully devoted to Jesus Christ. We have the privilege of partnering with God's work in the world by using our gifts and resources through the local church.

A global pandemic combined with a Chicago winter means that the homeless community is facing several really difficult months ahead. Willow South Lake is partnering with Mathew House Chicago. This organization serves the homeless community on the South Side of Chicago in the Bronzeville neighborhood. Mathew House not only provides short term housing for the homeless, but they provide a path to long term housing stability. The program that we’ll invest in comes alongside the homeless to provide a path to obtain government identification, healthcare services, and other support services so they can move out of the cycle of homelessness into a stable, more permanent home.

Our church is committed to raising $30,000 to come alongside 8 individuals looking to move from homelessness to hope. To give, click HERE and select “Year-End Fund” from the dropdown. Or send a check to 625 Barclay Blvd Lincolnshire, IL 60069 and write “Year-End Fund” in the memo section of your check.

Any funds raised above what we’ve committed to Mathew House will go towards the long term financial health of our church home at Willow South Lake.
